Our meticulously crafted itinerary covers not only the ruins but also the vibrant local culture, breathtaking landscapes, and an enriching experience that will leave you in awe.

Day 1: Arrival in Cusco

Your adventure begins in the charming city of Cusco, once the capital of the Inca Empire. After arriving at Alejandro Velasco Astete International Airport, you'll be greeted by our local guide and transferred to your hotel. Take the rest of the day to acclimate to the altitude and explore the city at your own pace. You may want to visit the Plaza de Armas, the heart of Cusco, or walk to the nearby San Pedro Market to experience the vibrant local culture. In the evening, enjoy a welcome dinner where your guide will give an overview of the tour and what to expect in the coming days.

Day 2: Sacred Valley Tour

On your second day, embark on a guided tour of the Sacred Valley of the Incas. You'll visit the picturesque town of Pisac known for its artisanal market and impressive Inca ruins perched on a hilltop. Here, you will have the chance to purchase handmade crafts from local artisans. Next, we’ll drive to Ollantaytambo, another significant Inca site where you'll explore the remarkable terraced hills and the Temple of the Sun. Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant where you can try traditional Peruvian dishes. In the late afternoon, we’ll check into our hotel in Ollantaytambo, preparing for an exciting journey to Machu Picchu.

Day 3: A Scenic Train to Aguas Calientes

Today, you will board an early morning train to Aguas Calientes, the gateway town to Machu Picchu. The scenic train ride will take you through stunning landscapes of the Andes Mountains, where you can witness lush valleys and rushing rivers. Upon arrival in Aguas Calientes, check into your hotel and take some time to relax or explore this quaint town. In the afternoon, join an optional guided visit to the local hot springs (hence the name 'Aguas Calientes' meaning 'hot waters'). Enjoy traditional Peruvian cuisine for dinner before a good night’s sleep, as tomorrow promises to be a highlight of your trip.

Day 4: Exploring Machu Picchu

The most anticipated day has arrived! Rise early to catch the first bus to the entrance of Machu Picchu. As you ascend the mountain, the excitement builds. Upon arriving at the site, your guide will lead you through the ancient citadel, sharing insights into the history, architecture, and the significance of this UNESCO World Heritage site. Explore key areas such as the Temple of the Sun, the Intihuatana stone, and the agricultural terraces. After your guided tour, you will have free time to wander and take photos. For those seeking adventure, climb Huayna Picchu or Machu Picchu Mountain for stunning panoramic views of the site and the surrounding landscape. After a day filled with exploration, return to Aguas Calientes for the night.

Day 5: Journey Back to Cusco

After another hearty breakfast, enjoy some leisurely time in Aguas Calientes, perhaps resting in a café or purchasing souvenirs. Later in the morning, board the train back to Ollantaytambo, where you'll reconnect with transportation back to Cusco. Once in Cusco, check into your hotel and spend the afternoon at leisure exploring this fascinating city at your own pace. Consider visiting historic sites such as Qorikancha (the Temple of the Sun) or the nearby Sacsayhuamán fortress for an insight into Inca engineering. Enjoy an evening of free time and discover local dining options for dinner.

Day 6: Cultural Immersion and Local Experiences

This day is dedicated to immersing yourself in the local culture. Attend a traditional Peruvian cooking class where you'll learn to make popular dishes like ceviche and lomo saltado using fresh, local ingredients. Combine this with a visit to a local community where you can witness traditional weaving techniques and artisan skills. In the afternoon, explore the vibrant neighborhood of San Blas, known for its bohemian charm and stunning views of the city. Tonight, enjoy a memorable dinner show featuring traditional music and dance from the Andes.

Day 7: Departure

On the final day of your tour, enjoy breakfast at your hotel. Depending on your flight schedule, you may have some free time for last-minute shopping or sightseeing. For those with later flights, consider visiting one of Cusco's many museums, such as the Inca Museum or the Art Museum of Cusco, to learn more about the rich history of this amazing region. When the time comes, you'll be transferred to the airport for your departure, taking with you memories of a breathtaking journey through the wonders of Machu Picchu.
